    In a workplace study involving 5,179 customer-support agents, access to a generative AI assistant increased the number of customer issues resolved per hour by 14% on average. Productivity increased by 34% among newer and lower-skilled workers, while experienced workers saw little measurable benefit.

    The International Labour Organization identifies clerical occupations as having the highest exposure to generative AI. The tasks most affected involve producing and processing text, entering and organizing information, preparing documents, maintaining records, and performing routine administrative work. The ILO concludes that job transformation is currently more likely than the complete elimination of most occupations.

Clinicians using the system made 16% fewer diagnostic errors and 13% fewer treatment errors. The AI reviewed clinical documentation and decisions, but clinicians retained responsibility for diagnosis and treatment.
